SUSTAINED DIALOGUE ON PEACEFUL USES

The International Joint Research Center on Food Security (IJC-FOODSEC) has partnered with Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) to host a regional workshop under the Sustained Dialogue on Peaceful Uses (SDPU) program in Bangkok, Thailand on food safety, security, and productivity using nuclear science and technology in Southeast Asia and the Pacific Island.
This program will feature expert discussion on the opportunity, success stories, challenges, and risk related to UN Sustainable Development Goal 2 (SDG 2) – Zero Hunger. The goal of the workshop is to convene diverse stakeholders with interest or experience in food security and/or nuclear technology including the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Food Agricultural Organization (FAO), to collectively identify challenges and propose new ideas that can be solved with nuclear and isotopic techniques.
