The 2017 Meeting of BIOTEC International Advisory Board (IAB) was held during March 3-4, 2017 at the Thailand Science Park and the Chatrium Hotel Riverside, Bangkok respectively. Current BIOTEC International Advisory Board, serving from November 2017 to November 2019, consists of 11 internationally-recognized experts from several organizations, with diverse backgrounds in biotechnology.
The IAB Meeting is annually held with the aims to review the performance and progress of BIOTEC as well as to provide comments and feedback on particular research topics presented each year. For this year, the selected projects were shrimp research, plant research and biorefinery research. In addition to the Board Meeting, there was the Panel Discussion on ‘How to survive in current scientific research environment’ participated by BIOTEC young researchers. The Discussion is opened as a floor for the young staff to closely discuss with the Board members.
