VISITING PROFESSOR

Visiting Professor is an international scientist with a proven track record of prominent professional achievement and an established overseas network. Visiting Professor scheme was designed to invite international prominent scientists whose work contribute to the research objectives of NSTDA to undertake a short-term visit, enabling them to contribute their knowledge and expertise towards strengthening international capability and cooperation in research of NSTDA.

Visiting Professor Scheme's objectives:

BIOTEC
  • 1. To support visiting prof. to act as an advisor in NSTDA research projects or to undertake collaborative research with NSTDA researchers, resulting in high-quality and high-impact research output.

  • 2. To enhance institutional linkages with research institutions abroad through international scholarly network initiated by visiting prof.
          
  • 3. To enrich the intellectual landscape and research endeavor in line with NSTDA’s strategic direction through capacity building and mentoring for NSTDA research personnel and NSTDA co-researchers.

    4. To foster knowledge transfer and knowledge exchange between visiting prof. and NSTDA researchers, resulting in the enhancement of the institution’s intellectual atmosphere.
  • The individual must be invited by NSTDA to undertake a short-term visit. This period of appointment is up to 1 year/ term. Subject to performance review, visiting professor appointment may be renewed for up to 2 years or longer which will be decided on a case-by-case basis.
