On 5 October 2016, the opening ceremony of 2016 Human Resource Development (HRD) Program in Biotechnology for ASEAN member countries has been held at BIOTEC, Thailand Science Park to welcome 12 bright young researchers from ASEAN member countries. Each researcher, furthermore, introduced his/her research, workplace and home country to the audiences.
This year’s special agenda was organized in collaboration with the Sales and Key Account Management Division of NSTDA starting with the overview of Thailand Science Park in general. The HRD researchers also had a chance to visit companies located at Thailand Science Park; consisted of Betagro Science Center, CDIP (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Thai Dental International Co., Ltd. and Innovation Cluster 2 Building (INC2).
The Program, itself, places importance on improving research skill. It was designed to be an on-the-job and research-based training in BIOTEC’s laboratories. Twelve recipients will spend their time in the laboratories ranging from three to six months under the close guidance of BIOTEC research team.
