Dr. Warinthorn Songkasiri, BIOTEC’s Principal Researcher, whose collaborative project was funded by Mekong-Republic of Korea Cooperation Fund (MKCF), was invited by Mekong Institute (MI) to share project updates and lessons learned during the Project Roundtable Meeting of the MKCF projects on 10 May 2022.
BIOTEC’s collaborative project titled “Capacity Building on Circular Economy, Resource and Energy Efficiency for Productivity and Sustainability of Cassava Chain to High Value Products: Cassava Root, Native Starch, and Biogas in Mekong Countries (CCC)” was funded by the MKCF for a period of two and a half years from 1 July 2022 – 31 December 2022. The CCC project focuses on strengthening the competitiveness of cassava value chain in the Mekong Countries, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand (CLMVT), via knowledge transfer and capacity building program.
