Discover the Power of Fungi with MYCOBIOMICS!

The MYCOBIOMICS project, led by Prof. Marc Stadler (Helmholtz Center for Infection Research, Germany) in collaboration with BIOTEC’s Dr. Jennifer Luangsa-ard (Plant Microbe Interaction Research Team) and research institutes across Europe and Africa, has been successfully funded under the EU’s H2020-MSCA-RISE program with a grant of EUR 1,375,400 (THB 51,035,377).

This project explores the untapped potential of fungi from Asia, Africa, and Europe using advanced -OMICS techniques. By investigating secondary metabolites, MYCOBIOMICS aims to drive innovation in antibiotic discovery and develop eco-friendly alternatives to chemical pesticides—offering sustainable solutions for agriculture and healthcare.

Since its launch in 2021, the project has contributed valuable scientific knowledge through academic publications.
