Dr. Pattamaporn Prachomrat is a policy researcher at NSTDA, where she focuses on developing strategic plans and policies to effectively address public needs and align with national strategies. Drawing from her successful background as a Project Analyst and Research Program Manager in sustainable food and ingredient initiatives at NSTDA, she currently leads efforts related to the BCG agenda and food policy. Her expertise lies in national innovation systems, and she holds both a Master’s and Doctorate in Science and Technology Studies from the University of Edinburgh, UK. Recently, she was appointed to the secretariat team responsible for formulating an action plan to promote bio-, circular, and green (BCG) economic development for the period of 2022 to 2027, which was approved by the Cabinet in 2022. Her current research involves collaboration with partner agencies to develop strategies for managing surplus food, addressing both food waste and food insecurity in Thailand. The aim is to scale these initiatives nationwide and support the establishment of a national food bank in Thailand in the future.
