BIOTEC, in collaboration with the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), hosted the NSTDA-AIST Joint Symposium on Bio-Innovations from March 13-14, 2017. This Joint Symposium was aimed at being as an open floor for the NSTDA and AIST Researchers to introduce research activities and exploring further collaboration.
Joining the NSTDA team were Researchers from BIOTEC and MTEC, while the AIST brought together 16 Senior Researchers from the Biomedical Research Institute, the Bioproduction Research Institute, and the Kao Corporation to participate in the event. The experienced researchers from both sides took turns giving series of presentations on Mining for Bioproducts from Natural Resources, Analysis for DNA, Bacteria and Biomolecule, Functional Food and Bioproduction, and Bio-Device and POC. The 2-day symposium were well attended by total 55 participants.
NSTDA and AIST established a collaborative relationship since 2004. Since then, NSTDA and AIST have collaborated on a number of activities and now expanding into the other related advanced fields.
