Researchers from the United Kingdom (UK) and Thailand have partnered to boost the production capacity for biopharmaceuticals and animal vaccines in Thailand and neighboring countries. The work has widened access to drugs and vaccines, improved human and animal health, and helped Thailand achieve self-sufficiency in this field.
Progress in developing a vaccine for PCV2d based on locally circulating strains was remarkable. The vaccine has shown promising results in rabbits and mouse trials and is currently undergoing testing on pigs. A successful vaccine would reduce livestock loss and economic damage; this would be vital to rural pig farmers and farm workers who rely on the industry for employment and financial security. The collaboration also contributed to bio-workforce development by providing biopharmaceutical and vaccine training courses and creating the industrial network.
Researchers, scholars, and entrepreneurs in aquaculture, feed, livestock, and biopharmaceutical industries are invited to participate in the symposium series on this High Tech Drugs for Thailand: Biopharmaceutical and Animal Vaccine Production in Thailand and Beyond (PM) and the Current Development of Vaccines and Feed Supplements for Aquaculture (AM).
Exclusively for a carefully selected group of potential partners, this event offers participants a unique opportunity to gain knowledge from experts hailing from the UK, Netherlands, and Thailand. They will delve into the cutting-edge advancements in biopharmaceuticals and animal vaccine production in Thailand and beyond. Please note that only short-listed participants will be notified, and we sincerely appreciate your interest in attending the event.
