Serving as a national infrastructure, the National Biobank was initiated and operated by National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC) in an attempt to preserve biological resources and their information for conservation and utilization in future research and development. Among the collections of biological resources stored is seed bank which houses collections of Thai native seeds.
In cooperation with the Millennium Seed Bank, Kew Gardens, UK, BIOTEC organized the Workshop on Seed Bank during September 19 – 21, 2018 at Sirindhorn Science Home, Thailand Science Park.
